Diesel up 3.7 cents to another record at $4.764

The weekly on-highway diesel prices rose for the second week straight, this time climbing $0.037 per gallon to $4.764 per gallon which is up a staggering $1.875 per gallon from the same week last year, according to figures provided by the Energy Information Administration.

Diesel prices jumped in every region and California as reported by EIA. The highest price per gallon was found in the Central Atlantic region ($4.912), followed closely by the West Coast ($4.817).  More from The Trucker

The good news is President Bush announced yesterday he is lifting the ban on off shore drilling.  The bad news is we still have Nancy Pelosi playing Queen “B” in Congress…..

  2. You know, I see this and it’s still hard to believe? If only we could go back to the 70’s and begin to correct the errors…..truckers might actually be on the North side of the “line” rather than the south side…..It’s a shame to think that the people who “move” our nation are the low men on the totem pole….
Guess that’s why my son’s band wrote a song in tribute to you guys…
