Professional, Polite, Prepared to Kill

Hurricane Ike Alerts

(ATAW/AR)  As we truck down Oklahoma towards Texas, we must remind motorists, whether 18 wheeler or four wheeler, to be mindful of utility trucks and equipment coming in from other states as well as big trucks hauling fuel and supplies.

Roads already unsafe from Hurricane Ike will be jammed as utility specialists, professional truckers and other essential personnel attempt to reach affected areas.  Please also be mindful of requests by law enforcement and local governments to stay off certain flooded highways or main thoroughfares needed for trucks to arrive to begin rebuilding.

In addition to traffic issues, “disaster profiteers” are coming out of the woodwork with internet scams, unscrupulous fuel stop owners are raising prices of gas and diesel to unheard of levels and more.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents of Houston, Galveston and other areas hit by Hurricane Ike.
