Freedom is proud to endorse Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin.  As our next president and vice president, we are confident that they will lead our country in the right direction.  American truckers are veterans and our livilihood depends upon a strong economy and affordable fuel. McCain and Palin will decrease our dependency on foreign oil, WIN the War on Terror and continue to grow our capitalist economy.

McCain and Palin have the experience and leadership America needs in time of war and peace.

This November 4, we encourage our readers to vote – vote for America.  Vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

ACORN Vegas Office Raided in Voter Fraud Investigation

ACORN’s Las Vegas headquarters has been raided by Nevada authorities looking for evidence of voter fraud.

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote. More from FoxNews

I have to ask – WHY is ACORN allowed to continue voter registration?  One of several examples of voter fraud in the article states:

In 2006, ACORN also committed what Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed called the “worse case of election fraud” in the state’s history.

In the case, ACORN submitted just over 1,800 new voter registration forms, and all but six of the 1,800 names were fake.

Why I’ve decided to vote Democratic

This is making its rounds in email, thought it was good food for thought:

I’m voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I’m voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it, unless you’re a Christian, then it’s ok to offend you.

I’m voting Democrat because when we pull out of I trust that the bad guys will stop what they’re doing because they now think we’re good people.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will  rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

I’m voting Democrat because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don’t have to hide from us over there, they’ll come over here, and I don’t want to have any guns in the house to shoot them with.

I’m voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want; I’ve decided to marry my horse.

I’m voting Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

Lenny Ladner – A Job Well Done

While American Trucker, Lenny Ladner, did not win his primary for Senate in Tennessee, we would like to congratulate Lenny for having the courage – like Mike Psak and John Bootie – to get out of the truck, turn off the CB and actually DO something!  Lenny is passionate about the need for change in Washington and we know he will continue the fight.

Fourth person interested in vacated 196th district seat – Pennsylvania

Kermit Glatfelter of Jackson Township has alerted the York County Republican Party that he is interested in running for the state House of Representatives’ 196th District seat.

State Rep. Bev Mackereth, R-Spring Grove, will not run for re-election this year so she can take over as York County’s director of human services.

Glatfelter, 60, works as a tractor-trailer driver. He is a former Republican committeeman from Codorus Township and a former Coast Guard auxiliary member. If elected, he said he would like to impose more stringent requirements on public welfare and crack down on illegal immigration.

Tonight, Republican committee members from the 196th District will nominate one of four aspiring lawmakers to run as the Republican candidate in November.  From the York Daily

Glatfelter joins John Bootie (independent candidate for President of the United States) and Lenny Ladner (US Senate – Tennessee) in a growing list of truckers turned politicians.

Media Excuse Obama’s False Advertising

Cliff Kincaid

What happens when the “fact-checkers” don’t check facts and the “watchdogs” don’t watch? Consider the case of those who claim to be watching politicians for lies and deceptions and pretend to analyze Senator Barack Obama’s new patriotic “Country I Love” television ad, airing in 18 states.

The Annenberg Political Fact Check, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, and Washington Post media reporter Howard Kurtz have written analyses of the Obama ad. But they are as flawed as the ad itself.  More from FamilySecurityMatters

This is a very important read, folks.  Obama must be exposed before the November elections.  He kind of reminds you of Nicolae Carpathia (Romanian president from the “Left Behind series), doesn’t he?

Obama flips Hillary the bird

When my mother in law told me about this, I almost found it hard to believe.  But, having seen it, we must ask ourselves “is THIS who we want representing the free world?”

This isn’t an election for high school class president, where popularity counts and little things like this make you “cool”.  This second semester/second grade gesture was immature and idiotic with no place in a campaign for President of the United States.

John Bootie Talks Fuel Prices

Independent candidate for President, John Bootie, discusses high diesel costs in an email to a fellow trucker.  (Used with permission from John Bootie)

Hello John Bootie here.

Slynay, Thank you for contacting my campaign, about your concerns on the high fuel costs.

Slynay, I am a driver also, so I will tell you what I do and then tell you what I would like to see done. And attempt to do to make changes at the pump for all fuels.

Slynay my personal driving habits as a company driver are probably easier than for a owner operator.

No matter the cost at the pump, we all can do some steps to reduce fuel consumption. Along with reduced usage comes lower prices. Continue reading

Something weird in Pennsylvania

The polls have been closed in Pennsylvania – but no results have been posted – anywhere 46 minutes after polls have closed! ATAW Central Command is monitoring ABC Channel 6 in Philadelphia while our “mobile unit” is heading to Philly while monitoring local radio programs. Nothing. No exit polls, no comments from voters.

Nothing…….. Pennsylvania readers – feel free to post any updates and comments. The mainstream media certainly isn’t.
