Video game plays strange message

Toy says ‘Islam is the light’

KNIGHTSVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) – Months ago, Rachel Jones was shocked to discover her 4-year-old’s baby doll seemed to have a hidden message: Islam is the light.

Imagine her surprise when a game for her 8-year-old daughter’s Nintendo DS had the same message.

Rachel said she bought the Nintendo game, Baby Pals, as a gift for her 8-year-old daughter after a good report card.

She had no idea the game also contained the hidden message “Islam is the light.”

“We were sitting in the kitchen, and she was playing it,” said Jones. “All of a sudden she looked at me, and I looked at her and she said, ‘Mom, I think my baby said something.’ And so I played it back, and it says ‘Islam is the light.'” Full story and video HERE

In the “here we go again” department…  Has anyone else purchased this game and heard it for yourself?

Jihadism in 2009: The Trends Continue

From Stratfor.com

By Fred Burton and Scott Stewart

For the past several years, we have published an annual forecast for al Qaeda and the jihadist movement. Since the January 2006 forecast, we have focused heavily on the devolution of jihadism from a phenomenon focused primarily on al Qaeda the group to one based primarily on al Qaeda the movement. Last year, we argued that al Qaeda was struggling to remain relevant and that al Qaeda prime had been marginalized in the physical battlefield. This marginalization of al Qaeda prime had caused that group to forfeit its position at the vanguard of the physical jihad, though it remained deeply involved in the leadership of the ideological battle.

As a quick reminder, Stratfor views what most people refer to as “al Qaeda” as a global jihadist network rather than a monolithic entity. This network consists of three distinct entities. The first is a core vanguard, which we frequently refer to as al Qaeda prime, comprising Osama bin Laden and his trusted associates. The second is composed of al Qaeda franchise groups such as al Qaeda in Iraq, and the third comprises the grassroots jihadist movement inspired by al Qaeda prime and the franchise groups.

As indicated by the title of this forecast, we believe that the trends we have discussed in previous years will continue, and that al Qaeda prime has become marginalized on the physical battlefield to the extent that we have not even mentioned their name in the title. The regional jihadist franchises and grassroots operatives pose a much more significant threat in terms of security concerns, though it is important to note that those concerns will remain tactical and not rise to the level of a strategic threat. In our view, the sort of strategic challenge that al Qaeda prime posed with the 9/11 attacks simply cannot be replicated without a major change in geopolitical alignments — a change we do not anticipate in 2009.

Exclusive: Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law

From the editors of FamilySecurityMatters:

In her latest book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law, author Nonie Darwish paints a chilling description of what lies ahead for Western civilizations that continue down the road of political correctness and appeasement as Islamic (Shariah) law creeps its way into free societies across the globe. Darwish, who was born in Cairo, and moved as a child to Gaza with her family, was raised Muslim – her father founding Palestinian fedayeen units which launched terrorist raids across Israel’s southern border. When Nonie was only eight, her father was assassinated by the IDF, after which he was recognized as a shahid, or martyr for Islam. Darwish immigrated to the United States in 1978.

Islamic Law and the ensuing threats to Western civilization are subjects Darwish discusses with a passion and knowledge borne only of one who grew up within it can have. Having left Islam as an adult and having converted to Christianity, she has shared her experiences in Islam with her first book, Now They Call Me Infidel. Now with her second book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law, she explains in layman’s terms the meaning of Shariah law and the implications that face those who embrace it. Nonie Darwish visited with FamilySecurityMatters.org to discuss the book:

Renee Taylor for FSM: What are some of the implications for Western civilizations of accepting Shariah law into their societies?

Nonie Darwish: Today, Muslims have moved to Europe, America, Australia and Canada. They argued for Shariah law and got it. In England now, they are practicing marriage and inheritance laws. It is important for the West to realize and understand that Islamic law does not give equal rights to all. It discriminates between men and women. There are laws for Muslims, laws for non-Muslims. Women and non-Muslims have much more oppressive laws, giving Muslim men authority over them. If we allow such laws, we will find ourselves approving discrimination in our society between people. That is totally against Western democracy and values, especially the U.S. Constitution. I wrote this book because it is very important for the West to understand what they allow. Shariah law itself was not part of Islam when Mohammed died. It was created by the Muslim heads of state because Islam was moving very fast to conquer many countries. They needed Islamic law to rule over all these lands. It is inspired by the Koran and by the Hadith sayings of Mohammed. All areas of Islamic society are rooted in Islamic law, which is tyrannical law. full article HERE

Mr. Bandit – Just in time for your holiday shopping

bandit_white_glow_s

The BrickArms terrorist figure, Mr. Bandit  – becoming known as Osama bin Lego – is currently backordered according to their website.  However, they have a variety of other interesting offerings including “Spy Bond” complete with Uzi and American and German WW2 soldiers..    Don’t forget your weapons pack for each figure.

While the terrorist figure has created quite a stir in the Muslim world for “glorifying” terrorism, I think it would make a great target.  I wonder what a direct shot with my .22 would do to “Mr. Bandit”.  The front page of the BrickArms website has a Santa figure by his bright red tank…  Not your daddy’s Lego toys…….

Strategic Motivations for the Mumbai Attack

By George Friedman — from Stratfor.com

Last Wednesday evening, a group of Islamist operatives carried out a complex terror operation in the Indian city of Mumbai. The attack was not complex because of the weapons used or its size, but in the apparent training, multiple methods of approaching the city and excellent operational security and discipline in the final phases of the operation, when the last remaining attackers held out in the Taj Mahal hotel for several days. The operational goal of the attack clearly was to cause as many casualties as possible, particularly among Jews and well-to-do guests of five-star hotels. But attacks on various other targets, from railroad stations to hospitals, indicate that the more general purpose was to spread terror in a major Indian city.

While it is not clear precisely who carried out the Mumbai attack, two separate units apparently were involved. One group, possibly consisting of Indian Muslims, was established in Mumbai ahead of the attacks. The second group appears to have just arrived. It traveled via ship from Karachi, Pakistan, later hijacked a small Indian vessel to get past Indian coastal patrols, and ultimately landed near Mumbai.

Somali pirates hijack ship, British guards escape

NAIROBI, Kenya – Somali pirates hijacked a chemical tanker with dozens of Indian crew members Friday and a helicopter rescued three British security guards who had jumped into the sea, officials said.

A warship on patrol nearby sent helicopters to intervene in the attack, but they arrived after pirates had taken control of the Liberian-flagged ship, according to Noel Choong, head of the International Maritime Bureau’s piracy reporting center in Malaysia.

The ship master had sent a distress call to the piracy reporting center, which relayed the alert to international forces policing Somali waters, Choong said. No details about how the pirates attacked or the condition of the crew were available immediately.

Choong said the ship was being operated out of Singapore.  More HERE

As the Giant Falls

It’s been kind of quiet around here lately as the staff here tries to digest what has transpired since the night of the elections. I’ve been at a loss for words and thoughts to put on paper. Our goal is helping to protect the security of this great nation yet I am astounded by the fact that American actually voted Barack Hussein Obama into the highest office in this nation. A Black Muslim is now our president and we can’t even get definitive proof by birth certificate of who he really is.

Our Constitution is no longer readable in a manner that promotes freedom and democracy and our country is up for sale to our enemies. We are in horrific economic times and that places us into a national security night mare as based on previous behaviors, Washington DC will surely sacrifice vital security measures in a feeble effort to appease our enemies at the negotiating table as we parlay or attempt to parlay our way out of our economic descent. Unfortunately, the people with money overseas are not interested in seeing the United States survive this crisis but are instead only concerned with how they can benefit as we crumble. A broke, manipulated, feeble country cannot defend itself.  Read more of Randy Taylor’s insightful analysis HERE

AMW – Yaser Abdel Said

FoxNews’ Megyn Kelly discusses the horrific honor killings of teenage sisters, Sarah and Amina Said in Irving, Texas, on January 1, 2008.  Their father, Yasar Abdel Said, is the prime suspect in the killings.  Said is on the FBI’s most wanted list and his profile is on America’s Most Wanted HERE.

Is Said still within the US?  Had he fled to points unknown?  We must all be alert and help the FBI find this sadistic killer.

Al-Qaeda top dog Zawahri calls Obama “house negro,” says he has “chosen a stance of hostility to Islam and Muslims”

From “magic negro” to “house negro”….  Rush Limbaugh, November 19, 2008

From JihadWatch:

His hostility to Muslims shows in his support for Israel — at least in Zawahri’s world. “Al-Qaida No. 2 insults Obama in new audio message,” by Maamoun Youssef and Lee Keath for AP, November 19 (thanks to all who sent this in):

…Al-Zawahri also called Obama—along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice—”house negroes.”Speaking in Arabic, al-Zawahri uses the term “abeed al-beit,” which literally translates as “house slaves.” But al-Qaida supplied English subtitles of his speech that included the translation as “house negroes.”…

Actually abeed means both “slave” and “black person,” so Al-Qaeda’s translation is just fine. Perhaps Adam Gadahn, if he is still alive, helped out al-Zawahri with the American idiomatic phrase.

The 11-minute 23-second video features the audio message by al-Zawahri, who appears only in a still image, along with other images, including one of Obama wearing a Jewish skullcap as he meets with Jewish leaders. In his speech, al-Zawahri refers to a Nov. 5 U.S. airstrike attack in Afghanistan, meaning the video was made after that date.Al-Zawahri said Obama’s election has not changed American policies he said are aimed at oppressing Muslims and others.

“America has put on a new face, but its heart full of hate, mind drowning in greed, and spirit which spreads evil, murder, repression and despotism continue to be the same as always,” the deputy of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden said.

He said Obama’s plan to shift troops to Afghanistan is doomed to failure, because Afghans will resist.

“Be aware that the dogs of Afghanistan have found the flesh of your soldiers to be delicious, so send thousands after thousands to them,” he said.

Al-Zawahri did not threaten specific attacks, but warned Obama that he was “facing a Jihadi (holy war) awakening and renaissance which is shaking the pillars of the entire Islamic world; and this is the fact which you and your government and country refuse to recognize and pretend not to see.”

He said Obama’s victory showed Americans acknowledged that President George W. Bush’s policies were a failure and that the result was an “admission of defeat in Iraq.”

But Obama’s professions of support for Israel during the election campaign “confirmed to the Ummah (Islamic world) that you have chosen a stance of hostility to Islam and Muslims,” al-Zawahri said.
